My dog tried the sample we bought of Petaluma Roasted Peanut Butter & Sweet Potato . He stopped eating the other high quality meat food so we quickly ordered a full bag while we sprinkled bits of the remaining sample in the meat food so he would be enticed to eat in the meantime. He seems to really enjoy his new food.

I purchased one of each formula as 2 of my pups are young, 7months & 3yrs, & 1 is a senior, 11yrs, because my two young ones are allergic to most meat.
My only issue, that one of my extremely picky pups noticed as well, is that the roasted pb & sweet potato kibble is now larger & he began spitting it out! Luckily, he loved it again after I began soaking it.

My dog is a bit picky and developed an allergy to poultry and it was so hard to find a high quality food that he both liked and that agreed with him. The vegan part is a HUGE bonus for me personally (and for the animals)! Thank you so much for having the vision to develop this wonderful food!

Since Paula Pitbull, mostly vegan, lived to be 17, vegan dog food for her successors, Winky Smalls and Elijah McClain, was a nobrainer. But I eat organic, for my health and that of Mother Earth, so was super happy to find a mostly organic brand of vegan dog food. I cook for my kids in the evening -- actually they get the bland version of what I am eating - but it sure is easy to give them a couple of cups of Petaluma in the morning while I am having coffee, knowing they are getting all the nutrients they need.
They get excited when the box arrives and even more so when I open the bag and the smell of goodness fills the room. They love Petaluma!

Petaluma is a wonderful company. My dogs love it. I add a bit of fresh food…a few organic chick peas, etc…but I know the staple of Petaluma is great on its own! I highly recommend.

My little guy loved this treat, he danced around it and played with it before running off to chew away. Makes me feel good to see him eat something I know is health and good for him.

They are perfect & healthy! I love knowing my dogs aren’t chewing on pigs ears or raw hide!

Our 2-year-old Goldendoodle loves his vegan dog food and always wants more. I’ve noticed he has so much more energy now!

We've tried ever brand, from high-end kibble to Farmer's. We have a 4 1/2 year old mixed breed Staffy Jack named Cooper, who was adopted during Covid from a local shelter, and a 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. Cooper was diagnosed at 3 years old with an internal liver shunt. He was out aged for much success with surgery and required a specific diet. He had been eating Farmer's, but he needed a more easily digestible, low protein diet. We tried another "freshly" prepared brand's liver disease diet, but Cooper hated it.
So, this is all to explain that we had one dog with special needs and a wonderfully healthy retriever "puppy" that we wanted desperately to provide with optimum nutrition.
After much online research, I discovered Petaluma. When I compared it to the other plant based dog foods, it won hands down for quality, sustainability, and for being nutrient dense.

As Registered Nurses, we are committed to our health, the health of the community, planet, and our doggies. I originally tried Petaluma for Bear, our Golden, and cooked Cooper's food. I have slowly integrated Petaluma dog food into Cooper's meals with smaller portions of rice and vegetables. Both dogs are thriving, and Bear is the fastest Golden ever.

I am Not recommending Petaluma dog food for any dog with liver, or other chronic issues. As an RN, however, I am sharing what I know to be true. Remember, protein is crucial for dogs. It does not matter, however, whether or not it is from plant or meat sources. What does matter is inflammation, cancer, and joint disease. Petaluma dog food provides our dogs with proper nutrition, vitamins, and minerals without adding inflammation and other issues as they age.

Lastly, Petaluma dog food doesn't have that bad smell of processed trash that most "kibble" dog foods do.

I make the gurls’ food and have been looking for an additional alternative to have in their nutrition arsenal for travel, etc….I think we just found it!!

This product looks just like a dried soup base, with lots of bits of vegetables. It’s easy to see pumpkin, carrots, and peas. It smells fresh and sweet, like apples and grains. There’s no “dog food” smell and no greasiness. It mixes well with warm water and rehydrates quickly. Great product!

I have a picky female husky! She LOVES Petaluma, so much that instead of me putting in her bowl and letting her free feed... She still free feeds, but she asks for it! Leads me to the bag and asks for some!! She has never done that before! Her coat quality has gone through the roof since eating Petaluma! People say she is the softest dog they have ever touched! She is full of energy and is thriving! Thanks Petaluma!!!!

If I could give an extra star I would! Because Petaluma goes above and beyond for us and our dogs. From the first box that was delivered about 2 years ago now, Harper has loved Petaluma with all his heart! He still gets excited when a new box comes in and is never bored of his bowl.

The gratitude I feel for Petaluma for providing a healthy, affordable, plant-based alternative to the nightmarish market we see right now is unmatched! There are hardly the words to describe how amazing this food and the company as a whole have been.

Harper started on Petaluma since he was old enough to and he continues to be the healthiest pup at the vet, the strongest and kindest at the dog park, and the fastest on the trail. It brings me so much happiness to know that I have a healthy pup and that the food he's eating is the best. I also want to thank Garrett and Caroline for never failing to amaze us and getting food to our door no matter the challenge! I trust these two with my whole heart.
